Relation of Period and Buckling Factor: Limiting Second-Order Effect Through Period

摘要: 比较了自振特性分析刚度方程和屈曲分析的类似性和差别,指出了自振周期和屈曲荷载的关系,因为各结构设计规范对屈曲因子或刚重比有最低要求,通过这个最低要求推出了周期限值,从而对周期限值的确定有了理论依据。而周期与结构总高度开根号相联系,对不同性质的结构体系,公式差别不大。Abstract: The similarity and difference of the stiffness equations for buckling and period eigenvalue analysis of structural systems are presented. The buckling factor is related to the period of the for different structural systems. Because there are a lower limit required by codes for the buckling factor of a real structure, the upper limit of the period is thus determined through the relation of period and buckling factor. The period is related to the square root of the total height multiplied by a factor, this equation changes slightly for different structural systems.
